10 months (can that be right?)
And she's another month older! I can't believe she's already 10 months old. Camila has learned so many new things this month (and just started to show them off the past few days.) She waves at us, claps her hands, and our favorite - squeezing her eyes shut. We'll do an exaggerated blink at her, and she'll imitate us (when she's in the mood to humor us.) :) She's getting her top two teeth; fortunately they're at the same time b/c it clearly bothers her.
Here's a 10 month picture of her in her new carseat. (We already have floral print one in the Rav4; this will go in the other car.) Yes, that's a cowprint. I think Fabricio's embarrassed! You can tell in the 2nd and 3rd pictures that she's kicking her feet together like a mad woman. She clearly thought it was a fun new thing to do in her new carseat!
At the bottom is a picture of Camila playing with a homemade rattle - a Gerber food container filled with rice. I also have one with rainbow rotini and plan on making one with popcorn kernels and another with beans. She loves these things (and they're practically free to make!)
This past weekend we went to the Burnsville Jazz Festival and then visited some friends of Fabricio's. His friends have a large black cat, and I can't put into words how excited Camila gets when she sees a cat or dog. She screeches at the top of her lungs, kicks, shakes her legs, and hops. I keep thinking I need to take her to PetSmart or something to show her a bunch of cats and dogs at the same time!
My afternoon in the Target parking lot
So, I'm embarassed to admit this, but when I was putting groceries into the back of our Rav4, I somehow crushed my key and essentially stranded myself at Target in Chaska. Yes, when I closed the back door I left my key on the bumper ledge and bent the key. As you can see from the picture, I obviously couldn't start the car to go home! Fabricio was tied up at work, so my mom had to come rescue Camila and me. Literally. Fortunately I had the stroller in the back, so I took Camila for a walk (so she could nap!) while waiting for my mom to venture down to Shakopee (to get the other key) and over to Chaska.
$250 later, I have a new key.

Pigtails and more
I tried out pigtails this weekend, as she has enough hair for it. While it looks cute, it's too much work. I think I'll just let her continue to have wild hair for now (except it's starting to get into her eyes!)
Here she is showing off her musical skills playing the "drums". Earlier in the day I let her pound on a sauce pan, but that got to be a little too much for our ears. ;) She really enjoyed banging her drumsticks (ok, wooden spoons) on her drum (ok, plastic bowl.) She put up quite a fuss when playtime was over so we could eat dinner!
Camila's been very snuggly lately, which is the most amazing feeling. WHen she was a newborn she wanted to be held all the time, but as she's gotten older she's been too busy playing to want to be held much. But in the last few weeks she has started to plop her head down on my sholder when she's tired. Bedtime used to be me holding/wrestling with her for 2 minutes before putting her in her crib (she'd be too interested in the things around her that she wouldn't relax.) Now she actually cuddles a little, so I get just a few more minutes with her. I love that she wants to snuggle!
Here's Camila enjoying her first bite of a muffin. We've been trying to introduce new foods to her, such as muffins, pizza, pinto beans (we were at Chipotle) and yogurt. She seems to really enjoy most of the foods we give her (you can tell - just look at her belly!) ;)
On our way to work (both Mom & Dad
