Quick update

I never find enough time to update the blog! As it is it's already past my bedtime. :)
Here are a few pictures from the past two weeks. Updates on Camila - loves sweet potatoes, grossed out by cereal. (See the picture above). She likes shaking her head back and forth - too cute! Just broke her first tooth, continues to sleep well, is getting over yet another cold from daycare, this one came with a bad cough that woke her up a few times this weekend. (Took her to the Pediatrician today - she's fine.) She likes to babble, her newest sound actually sounds like "blah, blah, blah" or "habla" which of course is cute considering that's "speak" in Spanish. :) She's pretty fussy with formula, and doesn't always take a full bottle.... At least it's just one bottle a day (I think I mentioned earlier that I have to supplement? Pumping at work just isn't the same as nursing exclusively, and it's affected my production.)
Oh, and in addition to giving us hugs, she seems to be giving us kisses (which is really just smearing us with her wet mouth.) It's so much fun, we just love spending time with her and can't imagine what our life was like without her. We feel so blessed to have her in our family. :)

6 month update

Sadly, I just can't find the time to update the blog more frequently! Below are pictures from the past few weeks. Camila smiling at herself in the mirror, her wacky hair - complete with baldspot and highlights, twisting back to see where that music was coming from (she seems to like Brandenburg Co. #3 - one of my favorite pieces!), enjoying her new favorite toys - tupperware!, our favorite activity on weekend mornings - laying with Camila in bed after she eats. Too bad it's usually 6:30am... Then there are pictures of her eating rice cereal for the first time. She did ok the first night, the second night was a disaster so we took a few days off. We started up again this weekend and she's doing much better. She'll open her mouth and stick her tongue out as if asking for more! Hmmm...what else can I update? She's rolled over a few more times (but not very often. We're not the best at doing tummy time, so I just have to rely on what they do at daycare.) She's sleeping through the night regularly, but doesn't nap very well at daycare unfortunately. She's still fighting a cold, but then again, Fabricio and I are also sick (allergies or a cold, we're not sure.) Her constipation is much better, but she tends to have poopy diapers quite frequently, and boy, are they stinky! Since we starting supplementing with 1 bottle of formula each day, she's a little smellier... In general, she's just a very happy baby. We can take her anywhere now, although we know that if it's too close to her naptime she'll get a little cranky. But we have no reservations anymore about taking her out to dinner. Well, it has to be a "family-friendly" place as sometimes when she's "talking" to us she can get quite loud! Oh, and my favorite story - she has a friend at daycare about the same age as her. They love to sit on the floor and talk to each other. Camila will talk, and Alex will laugh back. Then Alex will talk, and Camila will laugh back. I guess they do this for a long time. I wish I could see it; the care providers say the babies are hilarious!
