15 weeks!

Here's a picture from 15 weeks. I love this shirt (red is my favorite color) but it's funny because it also really shows off my growing stomach! I think this was the point when everyone at work figured it out, because there was no hiding anymore. :) Maternity clothes (especially pants) are a must. I can still squeeze into some of my normal tops, but I haven't fit into my regular work pants or jeans for about 4 weeks! I think I've felt the baby move once or twice, but it's hard to know for sure. I can't wait until I feel a solid kick!

11 week ultrasound

It's been a while since I've been able to update this. We lost our internet connection at home for over a week, and then we went to Duluth/Two Harbors for a quick weekend vacation. Since I'm trying to save as much PTO as I can, we just wanted to do a little vacation. Unfortunately, we choose the weekend it happened to snow! But besides the cold, we had a good time, and it was really nice to relax for the weekend.
Here's a picture from our 11 week ultrasound. It looks like more than a little bean! (They now offer this ultrasound to scan for some chromosomal abnormalities like Downs - everything came back fine.) You can see the legs (kind of) and the umbilical cord going towards the top. We even got to see the baby's hand (and count the fingers!) but we weren't able to capture a picture.
Here's another profile shot. It was pretty amazing to see the baby bouncing around, flipping from one side to the other.

Almost 10 weeks

This is about when I think I started to show (either that or I ate a big breakfast!) :) I'm about 10 weeks in this picture, and can no longer fit into my regular pants! Fortunately I can still hide my stomach with my shirts, so only a few people know our secret right now! ;)

We're pregnant!!

OK, I'm finally putting our English blog together! Fabricio's had our Spanish blog up for several weeks now, but since he needs the computer on the weekends I haven't bothered him to let me get this blog up and running (plus I wanted to wait until I was closer to showing!)
This is the ultrasound picture from our confirmation of pregnancy on March 6, at about 7 weeks. The baby looks like a little bean, and the other picture shows the heartbeat (The little circle is just the amnotic sac). It was pretty amazing, because we were actually able to HEAR the heartbeat (our doctor had some pretty amazing equipment!)
