1 year check-up

Quick stats from Camila's one year wellness child exam. She's now 21.5 lbs (55%) and 29 1/4 (50%). Her head is 18 in (75%). I was surprised that she jumped from roughly 30% in length for her past couple appts up to 50%. I guess she's not quite as short as we thought - she just looks like a peanut compared to some other babies her age that I've seen lately. :) She's keeping my on my toes, so I haven't had much time to update the blog. I'm just exhausted at the end of the day. We're both looking forward to Fabricio coming home in a week!!

More birthday fun!

Here's a picture of Camila opening a present from my high school friend Anna. This is one advantage of not celebrating her birthday until 2 weeks after the date. She gets to open a new present every few days, so it's almost like 2 weeks of birthday fun! :)

Birthday fun with the Quales

Camila got to spend her birthday with Audrey and Lily, while I got to spend some time with Ang. Camila kept wanting to "pet" Audrey, which was pretty darn cute. She'd be on one side of the room, and point to Audrey, or crawl over to her, or as you can see in the picture, try to climb into my lap when I was holding Audrey.

We had a great time, and as usual, stayed longer than we thought. :) My plan was to leave when Lily went down for her nap so Ang could get some rest, but we ended up chatting until Lily was about to get up! Hopefully Audrey gave Ang a good night since she had a busy day with us! ;)

It's Fun to be ONE!

Just a few pictures of Camila in her birthday shirt. Here's Camila helping by trying to take off her jacket. Apparently she needs some privacy (she kept trying to close the door, but I was worried she'd end up getting locked inside since this particular door has caused us trouble in the past!)

I'm One!

Guess who's one! Here's the birthday girl eating/playing with her muffin. (The muffin doubled as her birthday cupcake, since we're not officially celebrating her birthday until Fabricio is home in 2 weeks.) Fabricio got to spend a little time with Camila over the webcam for the special occasion (his work let him take a little longer lunch since it was already 2:00pm there - 7:00am here.)

I can't believe she's already 1! Fabricio and I were talking about how the first 3 months with her acid reflux seemed like an eternity. Each day was a struggle. But the last 6 months have flown by in the blink of an eye, and each day she brings us such joy!
